So yesterday we popped into the Borders that was closing down to look around at all the clearance stuff. I picked up Ricky Martin’s biography for 80% off. Today when I opened it up to start reading it turned out to be a Spanish edition.

Looks like it’s time to brush up on reading in my mother tongue because I refuse to let $5.90 go to waste.

Drove to Santa Cruz today in search of some Tom’s shoes. Walking down Pacific Ave. we saw an accordion playing clown. Only in Santa Cruz, kids. Only in Santa Cruz.

Went to Forever21 today in search of a lightweight sweater to go with everything I’m wearing on vacation next week. Making our way to the cash register we both found some sunglasses that were mad fash. What do you think, can I pull off the pink sunglasses?

I decided to skip work for a little while and head to Target since my afternoon meeting was canceled. I needed to pick up a few things for my vacation next week. This purchase proves that I am a former boy scout and am truly my mother’s son because I’m always prepared and never pass up a good bargain.

I’ve spent the past few nights working late so today I took a break with some of my favorite coworkers to run down the hill, grab a drink (or two. Mind your business, I’m grown.) and have a quick vent session before heading back to work.

I really should go to work with a buzz more often.

Working til 9pm has thrown any semblance of dieting and watching what I eat out the window. A Burger King chicken sammich at 10pm was probably one of the worst ideas ever but I gave out all my fucks at work and therefore have none left to give.

Went to Starbucks after lunch since as my friend said, “You’re day isn’t going to get any better anyway” and saw a homeless man’s cart with the following sign.

What’s the applicant screening process for this like?

All attempts to have a productive Sunday where I went for a jog and caught up on some work were thrown out the window when I woke up and had cake for breakfast and proceeded to take a 5 hour nap.

Spent the night watching borrowed movies. First up – For Colored Girls.

Went outlet shopping for about 5 hours today. I had one intention, going to the Gap to get a couple of pair of jeans and a couple of shirts for my trip to NYC in less than 2 weeks. Instead I found yet another pair of draws with monkeys on them.

For a grown adult a ridiculous amount of my underwear has monkeys on them …

and I like it that way.
