Music Monday: Trina
New music for your ears comin’ at ya.
Trina dropped a new mixtape today Diamonds Are Forever. I spent the majority of my afternoon listening to it and rocking out in my cubicle. Months ago when I got her last album Amazin’ it was on regular rotation on my iPod and one of very few albums where I could listen beginning to end without skipping a track. In just one afternoon I can already tell Diamonds Are Forever will be on regular rotation as well.
Listening to “Red Bottoms,” an ode to Louboutins and “Rich Bitch” left me with a strong urge to run out and go stuntin’ on some hoes. Being that I didn’t exactly know what stuntin’ on hoes entailed I had to check Urban Dictionary.com.
stuntin’ – To look real good, and know that you look good, so good that when you walk by, people’s head’s turn.
Yup, that’s exactly how Trina’s music makes me feel. Every time I listen to her albums I’m always left with an overwhelming urge to dress to the nines, throw on a pair of fierce sunglasses and strut down the street like I’m Naomi Campbell on a catwalk.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
Normally I try and avoid this “holiday” because I’m always single on it but last week’s Glee episode actually made me not hate Valentine’s Day. Now don’t get it twisted, I’m still referring to today as “Singles Awareness Day” because let’s face it, this day probably serves more to remind those of us single folks that we’re alone than coupled people how much they’re in love.
In the spirit of the day I decided to share my Baby Makin’ Music playlist from my iPod for all the lovers out there who will be dewin’ it tonight.
